The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. They maintain standards and confidence in qualifications in England and are independent of government and report directly to Parliament. Ofqual was set up in April 2010 under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 and is also covered by the Education Act 2011

Government Approved Qualifications
RQF stands for Regulated Qualifications Framework and is the framework that all CIBTAC and NOCN qualifications are entered into.
The RQF is a regulated framework overseen by Ofqual and is intended to provide a standardised approach to qualification development and provision that is controlled and measurable.
